The Panzerkampfwagen V Panther was a German medium tank of the Second World War. It was used on the Eastern and Western Fronts from mid-1943 to the end of the war in May 1945. The Ausf. G had a revised tub to simplify production. The tower and the 7.5 cm Kw.K L/70 main armament were the same as the previous version. A. Later designs were equipped with steel wheels. Some specimens received additional armor plates on the tower and engine deck to protect against air attacks. Night vision devices have been used experimentally.
