Tamiya 61124 Aircraft Lockheed F-35 A 1/48 Scale Model Kit
The Lockheed F-35 is a 5th Gen stealth fighter produced in three variants: the F-35A, B, and C. The F-35A CTOL (Conventional Take Off and Landing) variant comes with four internal weapons stations housed within two weapons bays and three external weapons stations. It is the lightest and most maneuverable of the three variants and is intended for use on land from improved runways. The F-35B STOVL (Short Take Off and Verticle Landing) can operate from ships and unimproved runways. The F-35C is intended specifically for carrier operations and relys on catapult assisted takeoffs and arrested landings. The F-35 will replace many aircraft currently with the USAF, USN, and USMC, including A-10s, F-16s, and others. The F-35A depicted in this kit features a deatifully detailed cockpit, three different ordnance packages, and markings for three aircraft.
